I was born in the city of Sary in the north of Iran in 1978.

In 2001 I graduated with a 1st class Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Puppetry Theatre from the Division of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. In 2004 I graduated from the same institution with a 1st class Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Drama & Literature.

I have worked in Iran as a theatre director, playwright, puppet maker, and stage designer, details of which can be found below.

In 2004 I met my husband and we moved to the UK.

I have since branched out into making artistic cloth dolls and paintings, which reflect my own ideas and interpretations of Persian themes.
